My friend Tim with his bike he built from wood

This is possibly one of the most beautiful prices of craft I have ever seen. I know I can be a little bias when it comes to bike related beauty but still. Tim built this bike out of 2 sections of 4mm hollowed out ash and glued them together. He placed metal shims in the head tube, bottom bracket and seat tube. The drop outs are aluminium hand cut with a hack saw. The forks are steel.
It rides the bumps like a full suss mountain bike and with its small rear triangle, climbs like a gazelle.
Tim needs partners in the bike industry to be able to finish off his works of art with the best components available. Want to get involved?

2nd at the British National Points Series race in Cornwall. Great course. Worth the travel. Flash Gordon the Cannondale did me proud

Sally Bingham (Topeak Racing) took the win leaving the rest of us including travelling Serbian and Spanish riders chasing.
A hard, technical course. A real mountain bikers dream. Thanks to the race organisers Maddy and Jay at Fully Sussed for putting on such a great event.
Here’s hoping that counts as a qualifier for the Commonwealth Games. Fingers crossed.
Pasties on the beach now. When in Cornwall…
Big thanks to my sponsors (Cannondale, Schwalbe, High Five, Sweet Protection and Time), RideSierraNevada for helping me find my form and Bikes of Inverness for their fine tuning. And of course my long suffering partner who make it all possible
