From Monday 23rd September I will be riding and recording data from some of the best mountain bike trails in the Scottish Highlands. The aim is to produce an ebook to encourage more people to develop an appreciation and respect for riding in the wider outdoor environment as well as at trail centres. It is my belief that encouraging more people to ride these trails sustainably in the Scottish Highlands will bring economic, environmental, physical and mental health benefits to people and communities across highland.
Roughly, the itinerary will take me up to Glencoe and through Fort William. Over to Skye and Torridon. Then east to Royal Deeside before returning to the Cairngorms.
I will carry a Go Pro, GPS and camera to record routes requiring varying ability levels.
I encourage anyone to get in touch with their thoughts or opinions on this and I would be delighted if some of you might like to join me.
Email me at lee to let me know your thoughts or register your interest.
cool – give matt a shout if you end up in sutherland or caithness, as he can probably join you on work time!
Hi Lee
Hope this e-mail finds you both well.
There is a small possibility that I might be able to join you for a day next week depending on my workload.
Will keep you posted nearer the time.
