Fatbiking the Moray coastline from Inverness to Aberdeen @seekandenjoy

This weekend we rode from Inverness to Aberdeen on Fatbikes staying as close to the sea as possible. It was a surreal, bizarre and wonderful experience to pass through places we had all been before only this time looking inwards from the sea. It has felt as though for 2 days only we had been allowed access to an alternative universe where things are different but the same. The light, weather, riding, smells and sounds were both alien and familiar as we moved in slow motion along the magical, forgotten Moray coastline. Saturday- Nairn, Findhorn (a lift across the bay from the Findhorn Coastal Rowing team in their beautiful Skiff), Spey Bay, Burghead, Lossiemouth, Buckie, Cullen, Portsoy (bivvy by the sea to the sound of waves crashing on rocks at our heads), Banff. Sunday- Then inland to avoid cliffs and rocky coves before rejoining the sea at Newburgh and riding the sand uninterrupted all the way to Aberdeen. With David, Fraser and Rachel.
